Any ideas floating around?
For picture ideas, story ideas, or even art, please comment at the bottom of the post. I check plenty and will do requests. If someone has an idea for a story, I'd gladly write it. Want a picture of Saint Tail or related to the series, I can draw it. Any pictures or inquiries about the products photographed? I can help there too.
As always, I do not own Saint Tail or anything to do with it, but I do own all the products I post pictures of. I believe I have a huge Saint Tail collection, and would happily grow it even more. Know of something I don't own from Saint Tail? I'd be elated to find out about it.

Hi! I'm a huge Saint Tail fan from Italy and I found out about your blog a while ago! I'm so glad to see there are other big Sain Tail fans around the world!! :) Please keep posting pictures of your merchandise collection, I'm curious about it! :)

DeleteWell, sakura 84, you can be happy because I have no intention of stopping anytime soon. I've only begun to unravel the ribbons and cotton candy pink bows of my collection. In addition to toys and statues and other stuff, expect some cosplay to come up around the beggining of May or so, because that is when the annual comic con comes to town in my area, and after in late May as well, because another comic con arrives then. I have the complete Saint Tail costume, and I will definitely post pics.

You're soooo lucky to have such a big collection :) I just have the 7 original volumes of the manga, in Japanese! I can't wait to see your cosplay pics, I cosplayed as Meimi last November, and I'm planning to do it again in April!! :)
DeleteHi! I know! I feel lucky. Hey, I saw your pic unless I'm mistaken. I bet I did when I was on a website in December. I loved it! I think it was you. I have the Manga in English since I can't understand a word of Japanese, and all the anime. Four came in English, and four in Japanese. Nearly all of my collection, the jewelery, the cosplay, everything, came from either Ebay or Amazon.

Could I ask you a quick question? You don't need to answer but honestly I have no ideas. How would you go about taking cosplay pics? I'm not too big on showing my face in pics, and that's ok with being Saint Tail and all, since her face was her identity. But I want some creative photos, like balloons or even rooftops or stuff. Not just another block photo like the toys and stuff. Any ideas?

DeleteIf you stumbled upon a tumblr blog, then yes, that was me :) I believe I posted the pictures of my cosplay only on my tumblr blog (where I often post about Saint Tail, the url is meimi-haneoka.tumblr.com)! Well, my pictures were taken by a dear friend who happens to be also a great photographer...but I have to admit that I didn't plan any particular pose and this bothers me even now, so I hope to fix that in the next pictures I'll do in April. I've seen around many pictures of Japanese cosplayers doing Saint Tail, and there are quite good ideas for the poses... What about concealing the face with the help of some playing cards?

ReplyDeleteI would have my uncle take my pics, he's an excellent photographer. I would let him take the pics, as embarrasing as that would be. Your mention of being bothered by poses i exactly the point I want to avoid. I want my pics to cause a sort of... I don't know... almost a forbidden romance style of emotion. Something to make people wonder, is Saint Tail stepping behind the police line? Is she delving into a forbidden romance? Something of that nature. Nothing to evolved, but still along that line.
Your idea with the cards is nice. I like it. That could create the feeling I want. I thought maybe just a dark shadow, or maybe even something that people could imagine is his, like a jacket, and the skirt with it or something. Do you think the sort of forbidden romance idea is any good? It's not something I've delved into before, but I think it could work with the story line since I always felt that Saint Tail would eventually end up in a dark, secret life with him.
I've written Saint Tail erotica as well, but I don't have the nerve to publish it. I think it'll be terrible.
Thanks though. I love having a fan like you. About other Saint Tail fans, I don't really know many. I found a site a while back, something Saint Tail mahou kaitou shoujou or something fanfiction. Look it up. She has some great work, especially the older works.

ReplyDeleteI like your fanfictions as well, I'd like to read one more centered on Meimi and Asuka Jr, though. I usually end up liking more the stories told by Meimi's POV, rather than Saint Tail's POV. Maybe because I can't really separate them, and I always have in mind that the real identity is Meimi, after all.
About posting erotica fanfictions, this is really something that you have to feel comfortable with.
Your forbidden romance idea is great! It's totally coherent with the canon story line, she never actually poses the problem to herself, but I think it's implied. "I can't let myself get caught by you" that she often repeats implies also that "forbidden romance idea" that you want to express with the pictures! Go for it! A jacket, even a necktie would be cool.
Hi! Sorry I didn't reply sooner. I was busy at work. Thanks for the ideas. I've taken some pics and I'll be posting soon. I'm still looking for ideas though. Something creative and romantic, but dark and mysterious. I want to take pics at the comic con, and I will, but that evening I'll be taking pics at home, hopefully something fairly nice will come out.
ReplyDeleteI am writing a Meimi/ Asuka fanfic, slowly, and also one from Saint Tail's side titled The Undercover Barista. Also, there's one coming that deals with the Yakuza and Saint Tail. I think they'll be good.
I have a new anime I thought I'd let you know about. It's called Jubei. The Girl With The LOvely Eyepatch. I'm not sure if you know it, and though it seems fairly old, 1999, it is close to Saint Tail. At least in the costume sense. Well, thanks for the replies, I treasure them, and I'll post soon. Three weeks only!!!
